Meet Mr. & Mrs. Loewen

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Fred Loewen

Fred Loewen was born and raised in British Columbia Canada along with his three younger sisters and younger brother.  Left to raise her five children on her own, Fred's mom did the best she could with the little money that they had and with the love she had to offer her children.  Fred grew up attending an Old Colony Mennonite church until his family was no longer aloud to attend, because his mother was studying the Bible for herself and teaching her children as she learned it.  It wasn't long before Fred started questioning everything he had been taught and studied the Bible for himself. One of his friends was a missionary's son and in 2001 Fred travailed to the Philippines to visit with the whole family.  While he was there they told him of a Bible collage in the states and as he was longing to learn more about the Bible, he eagerly went there and placed himself under the wise teaching of the instructors and immersed himself deeper than ever into the Word of God.  Of course, you can imagine what this did to his burning desire to become a missionary.

Beth (Stockman) Loewen was born and raised in Michigan along with her older sister and older brother.  Her dad was a Church Planting Pastor until Beth was eleven years old and they moved out to South Dakota where he became an instructor at a Bible college.  While they lived in South Dakota, Beth got a job working for an elderly man who had five draft horses and ran an Equine Service, she also babysat for a lady in town who was an EMT and was trying to raise four kids on her own.  Beth enjoyed ministering in her church with an After School Bible Club every week during the school year and spending as much time as she could with the elderly people of the town.  Her dad and mom had taught her everything they knew about the Bible and how to study it for herself, as well as to be a servant to others, no matter what the cost was to herself, so it came as no surprise that her dreams were for missions in an unreachable country.  Before her dad passed away, she promised him that she would go to a Bible college and get the training that she would need to fallow God's calling in her life.  It was a couple of years after he passed away that she was finely able to attend a Bible college that's only focus was on the Bible and Missions.
