Montreal or Bust!

So, the time had finally come for us to make one last trip for Fred's immigration paperwork for his US Green Card.  To say we were excited was an understatement!  Sure we had to fly across Canada this time, but who doesn't enjoy fly?  We were looking forward to seeing Montreal in all it's grander, as well, but let's not forget why we were making this trip in the first place.  After long hours of filling out paperwork and months of waiting, it was finally time to get the Green Card approved.  We didn't know what would happen at the Immigration Office in Montreal once we were there; and we found the unknown to be very nerve wrecking.  More so, I think, than mine had been when we went to the office in Prince George.

Reaching Montreal we found our hotel and then took a short walk around the area, trying to get the feel for where we would be needing to go the next day.  As it was, Fred's meeting wasn't till later in the afternoon, so we were able to do quite a bite more sight seeing the fallowing day.  We enjoyed indulging in the city life and the different shopping centers there before heading back to get ready for the meeting.

Unfortunately, the paperwork was found to be incomplete.  They said that I would have to go back to the states to complete the rest of it.  Sadly Fred would have to remain in British Columbia while I did this.  This wasn't something we had been expecting to hear, but we had no other chose in the matter.  We quickly flew back home, not wanting to waste anymore time.
